About us

Farmacia del Parco SA is an independent neighborhood pharmacy in the heart of Lugano, located right next to Parco Ciani. Our mission is simple: honest advice, pharmaceutical quality, and personal closeness with our customers — at the counter, on the phone, or in the online shop.

For many years, we have accompanied families, professionals, and tourists in Ticino with a broad range of medicines, dermocosmetics, mother-and-child products, and phytotherapy. Since 2025, we are expanding our offer with an online shop that mirrors the same quality standard of the physical pharmacy.

1986 — Pharmacist Aligi Riva takes over Farmacia del Parco. In Lugano, he is known for his generous heart and deep commitment to others: vice-president of the Circolo dei Farmacisti di Lugano and a founding member of Ingrado, the Ticino organization fighting drug addiction.

9 April 2010 — Aligi Riva passes away. His daughter Alicia Rossi-Riva takes over the pharmacy and carries it forward in her father's spirit.

2023 — 13 years later, Farmacia del Parco passes to her younger brother Nicholas Bünger, dipl. engineer ETH Zürich, continuing the family tradition into a new generation.

Today — Operational management is led by Dr. Maria Chiara Bosisio (FPH) as responsible pharmacist (Farmacia Gerente), with Nicholas Bünger as CEO. Key milestones of recent years: Spazio Salute (2011), a dedicated consulting area; ISO 9001 QMS Pharma (2019) certification; weekly pill organizers (2020) for chronic patients; full refurbishment (January 2025) with a new layout and launch of the online shop.

As a Swiss federally certified pharmacist, Dr. Bosisio is personally responsible for pharmaceutical quality, compliance with the Therapeutic Products Act (TPA), and patient consulting. She is registered with the Ufficio del farmacista cantonale (DSS Canton of Ticino), the cantonal supervisory authority for public pharmacies.

In our online shop we offer exclusively non-prescription products from categories D and E pursuant to the TPA (Art. 23ff) — over-the-counter medicines (OTC), dermocosmetics, supplements, mother-and-child products, hygiene and personal care.

Prescription medicines (Cat. A and B) are excluded from online sales. Postal shipment of medicines requires a separate cantonal authorization pursuant to Art. 27 TPA; until it is granted, medicines are available exclusively via in-store pickup. Drugstore and perfumery items are shipped Switzerland-wide.
